This month, Aaron | Sanders celebrates its fifth anniversary!  It’s been a stellar year.  We moved into our newest offices at 810 Dominican Drive, and most importantly, we added media attorney Paul McAdoo to our ranks. Since Paul joined us in September, he and Rick Sanders have been busy with a number of copyright, trade secret, internet and open records cases.  In the meantime, the firm has been ranked by BestLawyers® as a 2016 “Best Law Firm” in Copyright Law and Intellectual Property Litigation, and Rick and Tara were both named as 2015 SuperLawyers® in their practice areas.

Tara was appointed to the Copyright Society of the South Board of Directors and was appointed as a subcommittee co-chair on the Academic Committee for the International Trademark Association, where she coordinated the successful Trademark Scholarship Symposium during the last Annual Meeting.

Rick was quoted by The Hollywood Reporter regarding the infamous Erin Andrews privacy case, and his article challenging Peter Menell’s writings on the “making available right” continues to be cited.

Paul, a recent transplant to Nashville, has already become an active member of the Tennessee Coalition for Open Government and was quickly appointed to the Executive Committee of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Communication Law Section.  Finally, the firm has joined the Media Law Resource Center’s Defense Council Section in support of Paul’s work for media companies.

We are looking forward to another excellent year! From the bottom of our hearts, we thank the many clients, vendors, colleagues, friends, and our families for allowing this vision of a highly responsive, flexible, nimble and sophisticated intellectual property boutique practice to grow into what it is today.
